Prayer Ropes
The prayer ropes (Chotki in Russian or Komboskini in Greek) are hand made from 100% black wool, unless another color is requested. (Many of the other makers, including imports, are made with acrylic. Unless you really know wool it is impossible to detect.) "Silk" prayer ropes are rayon with a cotton core. 

Beads are glass, wood, bone or sterling (only with "silk"). I take great care in finding quality beads and never use plastic. Please specify quantity and color when you order.

I am blessed with many orders and ALL ORDERS ARE MADE TO ORDER. To give you an idea of the labor intensive nature of this holy knot making it takes approximately 6 hours to make a hundred knot rope but 32 hours to make a 300 knot.
